NMI-NB Diploma Programs in Naturotherapy & Acupuncture designed for practitioners to expand their knowledge and for EBNM members whishing to gain additional skills in their chosen field. Examining Board of Natural Medicine members who work with a health team in their community, may be able to graduate from NMI-NB programs and open their own practices. ​NMI-NB provides practitioners with comprehensive and professional education, for self-awareness and career development.

Probationary Practitioners of EBNM are encouraged to continue their educational process by enrolling in training programs, so they may increase their knowledge and experience in TM/CAM-Naturotherapy or TCM Acupuncture.
Program 1 - Naturotherapy
Level I Naturotherapist
The course is entry-level and requires students to complete approximately 300 hours of independent study comprised of email lectures and home assignments and attend 500 hours of mentorship and Clinical training over 8 months which include patient cases.
Our Naturotherapist program focuses primarily on the subjects of Natural Healing, client communication & case history taking, and Ethics, as well as knowledge gained on patient assessment, remedial techniques and Modalities use in Healing and Wellness, to include herbology, nutritional and lifestyle management. Total 800 hours.
Level II Naturotherapy Practitioner
A Naturotherapy Practitioner adhere to the principles of wellness focused-living and preventative health measures. They treat the causes of illness by working to restore health and include the patient as an active partner in the healing process. This program is designed to advance the training in Naturotherapy and requires students to attend 600 hours of training to include email lectures, workbooks and 300 hours of related subjects and synopsis. Clinical internship assignments with patients are completed at practice of 500 hours. Total program is about 26 months. Subjects include Phytomedicine, Clinical Sciences, of Naturotherapy, Energy healing techniques, Traditional Medicine and Methods of preventative healthcare. Total 1400 hours.

Program II - TCM Acupuncture
Level I Foundations
This program is an entry level program and requires students to attend 1010 Total hours of training to include related studies and practice. Key learning on T.C.M. Acupuncture that include: Theory & Diagnosis 420 hours, Technique and Clinical Training 390 hours, Related Studies 200 hour. Subjects are on Basic to intimidate Chinese Medicine Theory, Diagnosis, Treatment planning and Clinical Treatment. Subjects include Concept vital Qi and Blood & its effects on the body, Application of the laws of TCM and the five elements, 14 Meridians and specific acupuncture points, Chinese philosophy of treatment, Knowledge & application of Acupuncture assessment and Treatments Technique, Examination and Clinical Practice.
Level II Diploma
This program is designed to advance training in T.C.M. Acupuncture and requires students to attend 850 hours of training to include email lectures, workbooks and clinical internship, assignments with patients practicing diagnosis and treatment, plus complete 250 hours of related studies to include GuaSha and Moxibustion. Key learning on TCM Acupuncture include: Theory 342 hours, Diagnosis 482 hours, Technique 276. Subjects include: TCM History, Philosophy, Fundamentals, Advanced Theory and Efficacy of Acupuncture Points, Systemic Treatment, Advanced Diagnosis and Treatment of Diseases by Acupuncture, Making a Prescription, Principles of Treatment & Clinical Needling, Patient Treatment, Case History Taking , Treat of Disorders and pain syndromes, Bridging TCM, Mu Shu Neurology, Six Channel Syndromes, Safety & Aseptic Practice, Health Promotion & Disease prevention, Advanced Assessment & treatment planning in patient case taking, Core Level TCM and Clinical Internship. Total 1100 hours.
Level III Internship
This program is an Advanced Clinical Internship training in TCM Acupuncture and requires students to attend 390 hours of training in clinical internship, to include assignments with patients practicing diagnosis and treatment under supervision of 500 hours. Key learning on TCM Acupuncture include: Advanced Diagnosis & Treatment techniques. Course objectives: 890 Hours to include: Chinese Herbs, Materia Medica, Formulas and Terminology, Clinical Lectures on Eye, Tongue and Pulse Diagnoses, Acupuncture Anatomy, Advanced Study of the Zang-Fu Syndromes, Clinical Lectures on the Suwen-Lingshu, Emotional Health and Wellness, Advanced Acupuncture Techniques & Protocols in Clinic.

Program III - Allergy Healing & Sensitivities Elimination
AHSE program focuses on the science of Bio-Electrical assessment of a client's health status, with the aim to identify the allergen that is causing the sensitivity. Allergy Healing & Sensitivities Elimination is a specific program of wellness care that identifies the substances that the body is not in biological balance with. During the initial session the practitioner is able to identify the energetic signatures of the stress factor and give the body the vitality to overcome this by harmonizing the body with the frequency of the offending substance. Program is delivered in four modules with Class instruction of 20 hours, Hands-on-practicum 20 hours, At-home assignments of 60 hours to include independent assignments and patient case studies. Note: Case studies and all assignments must be completed in order to graduate.

Program IV - Related Studies
Auricular Technique
​
This program is 50 hours and is designed for Acupuncturist wishing to gain advanced knowledge of the subject. Aa combination of 10 hours in-class instruction & 20 hours email lectures and training, 20 hours documented case studies and research. Auricular Technique is based on the idea that the ear, as a microsystem, reflects the entire body on the auricle of the ear. Conditions affecting the physical, mental or emotional health of the patient are treatable by stimulation of the surface of the ear.

Ear Candling
This program is 35 hours and is designed as an entry level program. Students attend 5 hours in class plus 30 hours of email lectures, research, synopsis and mentored case studies. Ear Candling or Ear coning is a Thermal Auricular Therapy employed as a holistic way of treating ear aches and other related common issues, aimed at improving general health and well-being. It is a generally relaxing and therapeutic technique similar to Reflexology and Aromatherapy or Meridian Massage.

Meridian Massage
​
This program is entry level and is a combination of 50 hours in-class instruction and practicum, 50 hours email lectures and research, 60 hours documented case studies and 50 hours synopsis and clinical examination. Meridian Massage is a modality of eastern medicine system, often called Shiatsu-Acupressure. It is a soft tissue treatment that releases tension and creates deep relaxation, while gradually strengthening the body. Often, it uses Acupuncture points and meridians, Practitioners locate body imbalances and through the application of pressure are able to restore the flow of energy stimulating acupressure points along the meridians. Total 210 hours.
