Practitioners who provide treatment utilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture to diagnose injuries, diseases and disorders of patients.
Scope of Practice:
The stimulation of access points on the surface of the skin by insertion of needles to heal diseases, normalize physiological functions and aid with pain management.

- Needling
- Moxibustion
- Cupping
- Electro-acupuncture
- Gua Sha
- Tuina
- Acupuncture practice does not include the
following:
- Physical therapy
- Manipulative techniques
- Prescribing of pharmaceutical drugs
Educational requirements:
The successful completion of at least 2500 hours of post secondary study from an accredited college in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
